Control Systems
Western Equipment Company designs, programs and builds all
of the control systems for our equipment. Controls are PLC based and feature a
touchscreen user interface. Their design is based on decades of experience in
the water treatment and dewatering fields. Our corporate philosophy is to make
a panel as simple as possible to operate while providing maximum control and
security. We provide abundant alarm points throughout any installation to
ensure consistent performance.
Additionally we can monitor and trouble shoot any system we supply anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection available. This service is provided free of charge to our customers.
Disolved Air Flotation
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is used for water clarification by removing suspended solids from water while minimizing the use of bulk chemicals. The process relies on the injection of microscopic air bubbles introduced in the feed water stream, causing the particles to float on the surface of a basin with inclined settling plates where they are continuously skimmed off and removed with a wastewater stream. It is particularly useful when treating waters which are high in total suspended solids (TSS) or have highly variable suspended solids content.

Dewatering Centrifuges
The dewatering centrifuges manufactured by Western Equipment Company combine quality engineering and precision manufacturing. In addition, we offer our products at very competitive prices.
We design and build units for both municipal and industrial applications. Units can be supplied to handle as little as 5 GPM or for more than 350 GPM. Our extensive experience with wastewater treatment applications enables us to custom design each unit for the particular application that it is to be used for. This will result in a more efficient system that provides higher cake solids and lower operating costs.
